They say, “Necessity is the Mother of Invention” and it's true, for wherever there is a need there is sure to be someone who will provide a solution and the home embroidery industry is a perfect showcase for innovative products and ideas.
For almost 20 years there has been one constant irritation that has frustrated and possibly infuriated every embroidery enthusiast, from novice to expert. Why does your thread only break as soon as you leave your machine unattended? Is it some kind of cruel trick perpetrated by the machine manufacturers. Perhaps there is a tiny body heat sensor that detects when you leave your sewing room and triggers your machine to jam up or break thread. Of course we all know that is not true but it does seem like that sometimes.
If only your machine could warn you with a remote signal when it stops... even if you are in another room. Oh the freedom!!! Imagine not being chained to your embroidery machine while it stitches a design that will take 2 hours or more to complete. Imagine also being buzzed when your machine needs its next colour change. You all know what I mean, so; imagine never having to babysit your embroidery machine again. We all love to embroider but often find that the biggest restriction is time itself. Now imagine the extra time you will have if you were free to move around the house, potter in the garden, visit the neighbor, prepare for dinner, watch a movie or even entertain family or friends all at the same time as your embroidery machine is blissfully stitching away, confident in the knowledge that if your machine stops or fails for any reason you will be remotely warned.
NO installation is required as it attaches to all makes and models of embroidery machines. Let the Machine Minder™ watch over your embroidery machine as it stitches. Simply link Machine Minder™ to your power outlet and embroidery machine and it's ready for duty. If your machine stops or fails for any reason, you'll receive remote alerts - saving you hours of wasted time*.
*Machine Minder™ works with all machines, however, machines without thread break sensors will not send a remote alert in the event of thread breakage.
How did the idea originate?
Having traveled extensively in the USA and Australia, presenting embroidery seminars for home embroiderers, it became patently obvious to me that embroiderers were all time poor because of the incessant need to baby sit their machine while embroidering. In fact, one of the opening questions at every seminar I present is, “Who remembers their first embroidery design they ever stitched?”, at which time the majority of hands shoot into the air. “What did you do while it was stitching?”, to which the answer would invariably be, “We watched it!” “What do you still do when you embroider a design?”, “We still watch it!” Why do you watch it? It won't make it go any faster or stitch differently! You know what it is going to do... you can leave your machine unattended! Can't you? No!!! because as soon as I leave the room the thread will break or I'll forget about the next colour change, so I have to baby sit it.
It is this constant identical reaction from home embroiderers that identified the need, so along with a team of electrical engineers, we set about providing the solution.
With International Patents Pending, the Machine Minder™ is the perfect solution to machine embroidery's biggest problem.
